Procedures for Complaints & Appeal

Procedures for Complaints & Appeal

In case of unclarities or disputes about any matter concerning IPRO’s repartition of copyright compensation, rightsholders or their representatives are entitled to file a comment, a complaint or enter an appeal to the IPRO Board. Comments or complaints can concern disputes about the repartition shares, the pay-out amounts or the lack thereof.

Comments or complaints can be filed by rightsholders and/or their representatives in those cases where repartition decisions and copyright compensations by IPRO directly affect these rightsholder and/or its representatives. In case of any conflicts between different rightsholders and/or their representatives in which IPRO is not a direct party but which may affect IPRO’s repartitions in the future, the comment or complaint cannot be admitted by IPRO, but IPRO will be supportive to any and all party or parties involved in supplying relevant background information to the extent available at IPRO.

A detailed description of the procedure for comments, complaints and appeal, can be found in the Repartition Regulations of IPRO, chapter VI, under
this link.

In case of questions or complaints about invoices received for copyright fees due regarding the Dutch Reader programme, a separate procedure is available at Stichting UvO under
this link.
